UPDATE ON HURRICANE IKE & DAMAGE:
The hangar where Texas Raiders is located had some damage from
Hurricane Ike, but the aircraft is still intact with just a
small amount of water inside on the hangar floor. A few panels
of hangar siding were blown off, but for the most part there
was little if any damage to materials and equipment inside.
Some neighboring hangars suffered major damage, but we were
lucky. Good News.
The streets around Hobby Airport are in many places under
water, so passage to/from the airport properties is difficult
if not impassible. No electricity at this time. A feeder band
of wind & rain is expected again tonight, and a local curfew
has been imposed with only emergency vehicles permitted out at
this time.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for the citizens of
Galveston and Houston.
